I realize that I better blog today so I can do my once a month. A few weeks ago me and Murray with fishing at Oxbow Park and him caught a nice looking steelhead. It was a native so he had to put it back in the river. He had a good time and so did I. Since then Murray went out to Europe and I decided that since I'm not the best fisherman I will fishing for trout instead because they are easier to catch. I think that I am to too impatient to fishing for steelhead until more come into the river.

Things are going good for me and Carrie. I am really glad to see that she is enjoying life and water painting. God has taught me a lot throught her. And I am learning new things too. Like it not good to attack the field mice with the weed eater.

Also we have gone bowling a few times the last couple of weeks and that has been a lot of fun. The last time she beat me pretty bad. I'll just have to try harder next time.

Enjoying the snow before it's gone

Yester I went up to the Ski Bowl with Carrie. Since it was a week day it wasn’t very crowded. We had a good time and trails where a lot of fun. That and they had a row tow to haul you up to the top if you where tired. That was nice. A week ago I went up to the mountain with Carrie and went inner tubing at a place called “The Summit”. It was a cool place. We also gone to Snow Bunny but I didn’t like that as much because there is just inner tubing and to get to the trails you have to walk up the trail for a while. The summit has more businesses around it was you take a break and have something to eat. But my favorite place was at the boy scout camp lodge that I went to when I was young. Back then they had jumps so you could get enough air to knock the wind out of you. And the trails where lighted up at night so you could barely see where the jump was. It was pretty exciting.

A couple of weeks ago I went hiking at the horse trail falls trail. It is a nice hike with three big water fall along the trail. The picture is of triple falls.

The last month or so

I think that I am ending up to be one of the people that blog once or twice a month. I will work on that. I think that I will fill you into what I have been doing this month. Work has been going well. For those that don't know, I work at a company call Flir. What they do is make camera's, mainly infra-red and also regulator color camera which is what I work on. The infra-red is pretty cool. What they do is instead of displaying light, they display heat. The hotter something is the brighter it is on the screen. Police and miltary use them to see at night. Fire fighter use them to see throught smoke, and we also can put them on boats to see thought fog. What I work on is the regulator color camera. They are used a lot for news helicopter and sporting events like the ariel shots of football game. I am a service technican. So that mean that when I camera breaks I have to figure out what is wrong and fix it. That is the part that I enjoy, trouble shooting the system to find out what one small part of a complex system is not working right. I like electronics becaue there is a lot of different things use can do and make. Also that is where I came up with the title of my blog. I work on camera and focusing is a important of it.

A weekends ago I went to Multnomah falls and Horsetail falls in the Columbia George with Carrie. It was a lot of fun since it had been snowing there and the water falls had ice on them. Also it was nice because it was close to the road so we could go look at the water falls and after we got cold we would go back into the car a warm up.

Some of the other things that I have been doing is going fishing with Murray. We like to go fishing for salmon, steelhead, and stugeon. We don't catch much salmon or steelhead by is fun to hang out together and enjoy nature. One thing we went to Oxbox park and saw some deer walking around. It was a fun time.

Another weekend me a Carrie went to the car show that was in town. It was cool to look at the exotic car and the newer car that are being made. It is interesting to see the push that is being made for car that don't run on gas. It is interesting to see the different areas that people are looking at to find a new source of energy. There are many different types of alterative fuels, but nothing that has been easy to mass produce without some type of major down side.
Also been spending time with Carrie. The more time that I spending with her, the more I enjoy being with her. She is a special lady with an awesome heart that I really enjoy growing with. Now if there was only something that I could do about her mother then it would be flawless.

What I have been up to

The last couple of weeks has been good. I been busy with work and hanging out with Carrie doing stuff... The last few of weekends Carrie and I have been heading up to Mt. Hood to go innertubing and playing in the snow. It was really fun because it hasn't really snow where I live. That and I recently got snow tires so I thought it would be a good idea to really test them out and see how well they handle. But my car is a little toyota so I couldn't get to crazy. Oh well, they keep me on the road with no problems. Here are so pictures of me and Carrie at Summit in Government Camp.

Its a nice little place to do anything in the snow and a cool place to take pictures.

On Christmas I went to Carrie place and spent time with her family. We watched football, ate dinner and opened presents. I had a really good time. I also sent my parents to the airport as they went off to Hawaii for a couples weeks. They got to relax in the nice warm sun, see the wildlife, and watch the hula dancers while they left me to take down the christmas lights in the wind and the rain.

The last thing I did for Christmas was spent time with my sister's family. I love spending time with her and her kids. We had dinner and my nephews couldn't wait to eat dessert. It was fun.

The last couple of pictures are of some of the rivers that are nearby that I like to go hiking to. I find rivers to be very peaceful and a lot of fun if I have a fishing poll in my hand.

A New Day

Life has been going well now that I have a girlfriend. Over the past few years Carrie has been a good friend of mine and just resently God has opened my eyes to see what true beauty is. Carrie has a amazing heart and has geniune compassion for all people. Not only that, she loves God with all her heart. Recently I have gotten to know Carrie more and been changed by God about view on life. Slowly I saw how great of a person Carrie is and my heart has been drawn towards her. Carrie is a amazing woman.

This past week

Since this is the first post that I have been since finally figuring out have to make a blog(I don't like to follow directions) I will be show some of the thing that I have done in the past week or so. November 7 was my birthday and I got to hang out with my sister and her family. I have two newphews and both are pretty cool. Also this was the first time I got to see there house since its been remodeled.

Then on Sunday my friend Carrie and me decided to go up to Trillium Lake. It is a great place to look at Mt. Hood. The cool thing was that it was a clear day so we could see the mountain and because of the rain from last week the mountain was covered with snow and there was a little bit of snow at the lake. In Oregon it rain a lot and can be depressing but I just tell myself that if it is raining that means it snowing on the mountain. Then I realize that I don't ski or snowboard. Oh well.
